Week 16 (1-4)

Ah, one of those weeks that can't happen. I've had a couple of bad weeks and of course those kind of weeks will sink your whole season. Let's get into the carnage:

Vikings -4.0

Panthers +2.5

Bears +8.5

Eagles +5.5

Colts +4.5

Vikings -4

You'd think the Vikings at home agains the Giants would do the trick, but no because it's the Vikings. A week after their insane historic comeback against the Colts, I thought they'd take care of business against the Giants. They were up 24-17 with 3 mins to go, but of course give up the game-tying score and then win it on a 61-yard FG to win by 3 but not cover. Loss by one point. I'm sure the Vikings have covered some games this season, but I don't believe it. They're never any good especially as a favorite.

Panthers +2.5

The easy one of the week. EVERYBODY was on the Lions. The Lions were riding high win after win! Dan Campbell is the man! Well then why was the line stuck at 2.5 all week? The Panthers ran for like a thousand yards and smoked the Lions for my lone win of the week.

Bears +8.5

This pick looked good for the first half when the Bears were winning 10-6. And then the Bills woke up in the second half and won 35-13 for an easy cover.

Eagles +5.5

Star angle. Hurts was out and Minshew started this one. I didn't think it mattered much and for the whole game, it didn't. It was back and forth all game...until the end when the Cowboys pulled it out and covered by 6...when the line was 5.5. Yep, a half point loss.

Colts +4.5

This team apparently mailed it in after their historic collapse the week before. The Colts D force a couple turnovers from Herbert, but their offense didn't donkey dick in this one as the Chargers easily covered 20-3.

The margin for error is so small. What easily could have been a 3-2 week if the Vikings stop the Giants late and win by a touchdown and the Eagles don't give up two late FGs to not lose by 2 or 3, but by 6. Frustrating beyond belief, but it is what it is. The odds are cashing this season are dead and I will finish out this season by trying to lift my overall record to respectability.
