So in the Circa Million, the standings are tracked by how many points you have. You get two points for a win and one point for a push. Going into Week 9, I had one push on the year. Aaaaand I ended up with THREE pushes just in Week 9. Halfway through the season and I'm inching closer to .500. Let's get into my picks for this week:

Patriots -5.5

Commanders +3.0

Lions +3.5

Chargers -3.0

Buccaneers -3.0

Patriots -5.5

A no doubter. I liked this game all week with the Patriots at home, Belichick's defensive game plan for Sam Ehlinger (lol) and no Jonathan Taylor for the Colts. Like last week with the Cowboys pick, the Pats were also my pick this week in the Survivor pool. They rolled. I think the Pats D had something like 8 sacks, Colts scored 3 points and Stevenson got the job done on the ground for an easy 26-3 win.

Commanders +3

These 3-point spreads were killing me this week as this was push number one for the week. The Commanders played a close game at home against the Vikings and were leading 17-7 early fourth quarter! The Vikings of course scored 10 points to tie it and then kicked a GW field goal with 16 seconds left to push this game for me. Similar to the Lions game last week, this one stung a bit despite still being a push because it should have been a slam dunk winner.

Lions +3.5

Oh Lions, I can't quit you. I was determined to hit them on the week they covered and here it was. Hippie Aaron Rodgers and the Packers are broke. Completely broke. This game was wild. End zone turnovers, hundreds of injuries, awful coaching decisions but at the end of the game, the Lions won 15-9. The Pack dominated the Lions for years...the fact that they lost this game tells me they are done.

Chargers -3

I hated taking this game. I never seem to win on the Chargers...they somehow always find a way to disappoint. Chargers were coming off of a bye as a road favorite and it was a good spot against Atlanta. They were up 14-10 at the half, but ended up as a FG game which is what I wanted to avoid and they drove down late in the game, settled, ran the time down and kicked a FG with 3 seconds left to win the game for push number 2. I hate the Chargers.

Bucs -3

So remember last week when I said the Rams were broke. The Bucs and Brady may be too. Post-divorced Brady at home, against broke Stafford and the Rams I felt was a good spot to back the Bucs -3. They were trailing all game, had numerous chances to finally take the lead, couldn't do it and got one more under a minute and Brady drove the Bucs down the hit Cade Otton for the GW score to win by 3. The Bucs should have won this game by a lot more, but again these are not your Bucs of 2020. Anyway, push number 3.

Wild week but I'll take the undefeated week, I guess? 2-0-3 is tough to do, but like I said above the pushes count for one point so getting 3 points is like another win and a half so I'll take the good week. Week 9 ends quarter two as we head into quarter 3 of the Circa which is a short quarter from Week 10-13. Time to ramp it up and win some money.

Week 9: 2-0-3

Season: 20-21-4 (48.8%)
